General catch-up post
Miranda managed to pick up lice at school. Yuck. We've been treating the infestation for two weeks now, and still haven't got it beat. I'm going to do another treatment tomorrow, with a preparation I used on Zoë (who got the lice from Miranda), one that kills the eggs so they never hatch and stops the cycle cold. The only problem with it is it has to stay on the hair for two hours, while wearing a plastic cap. She's willing to do it, though, especially since it does NOT involve having to do the fine tooth comb (she's patient with that, but doesn't like it, and I can't say I blame her!).
She's doing well with her music, at least with violin. Getting her to practice piano is a hassle most times. I keep telling her that if she doesn't practice, she won't learn or get better, but it's still a pain. She does do her violin practice, though, and her teacher is very pleased with Miranda's work. Miranda will be doing her first music level testing some time this year, and she's going to go to music camp next year and "learn how to play in an orchestra". Not bad for a person of five years!
