My Family
I live with my parents, Bonni Elizabeth Hall and Andrew James Bromage, and my sister, Zoë Elizabeth Bromage. My mother is American, but now she's an Australian just like Daddy, Zoë, and me. My mother stays at home to take care of me and my sister, but she also does some work on the computer, because she's a web designer and digital artist.
One day a week I go to stay at a place that has lots of toys and a playground, and other kids. I wasn't very happy about going there at first. It was really scary! But after a while I decided that it was kinda fun, and I started to like it more and more.
I really like my sister. Well, most of the time. I always want to do everything she does. I get really upset when she doesn't want me to have whatever she's got. I also get upset sometimes when Mama holds my sister or plays with her, and sometimes I push my sister and then I cry because Mama tells me not to. But it's so hard to share with Zoë, even though I expect her to share with me.
We have a cat who lives with us. Her name is Missycat, and she lived with my mother for a long time before my sister and I were born. I really, really like the cat and get very excited when I see her, but she doesn't come around me that much for some reason.
I have a Nanna and a Grandpop who are my Daddy's parents. Nanna knits things for my sister and me and she likes to cuddle with me. Grandpop has been studying our family history, and made a family tree that goes back a couple of centuries!
I have two uncles, David and Greg. Uncle David lives in Canberra and I've only met him a couple of times, but I see Uncle Greg pretty often. He and Auntie Robyn gave me a Winnie the Pooh bear in stacking boxes as a present when I was born. I like to play with Auntie Robyn, but Uncle Greg is really tall and that's kinda scary. I'm not too sure of him sometimes.
I also have a great-grandfather. Granddad is Nanna's daddy. He's a retired minister and he makes interesting things out of wood. I like to play with him sometimes, and I give him kisses.
Then there are a whole bunch of aunties and uncles, most of them great-aunts or even great-great ones. There are a whole bunch of cousins, too. Lots of them! Some of them are even close to my age, but so far I'm the youngest one.
Mostly, it's just good that I have lots and lots of people who love me.
